On April 24th, the first train of Phase 1 of Hefei Metro Line 8 made its official debut at the Beicheng Depot. As the first fully automated operational line of Hefei Metro, this train marks the first unmanned subway train.

According to the introduction, the train's overall structure remains the same as before, consisting of 6 B-type cars. The train has a maximum passenger capacity of 2,000 people and can reach a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The Phase 1 trains of Line 8 are designed based on the highest level of automation in the current international standards for fully automated operation. When the fully automated train network receives signal instructions, it relays them to various systems such as traction, braking, and doors. Each system carries out functions like automatic wake-up, sleep, startup, acceleration, braking, parking, and door operation based on the network instructions, thus achieving full automation.

Furthermore, to ensure safety during operation, the trains are equipped with a new health management system. This system provides real-time feedback on the health status of various systems including braking, traction, doors, and air conditioning, providing further protection for passengers' safe travel.

After the delivery of the train, it will undergo inspection, debugging, pre-acceptance testing, and type testing at the Beicheng Depot. These measures aim to ensure that the train functions and indicators are normal, laying a solid foundation for subsequent train deployment and trial operation.
