On April 16th, the Overseas Guest Payment Service Demonstration Area at Hefei Xinqiao International Airport was officially launched, along with the unveiling of the Overseas Guest Payment Service Center. According to the People's Bank of China Anhui Provincial Branch, this is the first demonstration area and service center for overseas guest payment services in the province, aiming to further enhance the convenience of payment services and optimize the payment experience for overseas guests.

The Overseas Guest Payment Service Demonstration Area was jointly established by Bank of China Anhui Provincial Branch and Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group. It is located near the international arrivals exit and features a payment service consultation desk. It provides information on the use of various payment services, assists with mobile payment app downloads, ATM cash withdrawals, currency exchange, and other services. The area also assigns staff proficient in foreign languages and familiar with cross-border payment businesses to provide on-site, one-stop, professional, and authoritative payment service consultation and guidance to foreign visitors in a timely manner. The demonstration area serves as a breakthrough point for the construction of the payment service center and is seamlessly integrated with various payment service facilities within the airport. Currently, it fully supports diversified payment services such as card payments with overseas bank cards, mobile payments, foreign currency exchange, and cash usage. It covers high-frequency payment scenarios related to airport catering, shopping, and other activities involving foreign visitors, aiming to build a comprehensive and barrier-free payment service system.

Since the beginning of this year, the People's Bank of China Anhui Provincial Branch has been addressing the payment habits of different groups, coordinating efforts to remove the barriers in payment services. They have initiated the construction of payment service demonstration areas and demonstration scenarios throughout the province, aiming to optimize payment services and provide more high-quality, efficient, and convenient payment services for groups such as the elderly and foreign visitors coming to Anhui Province. "In the next step, we will fully leverage the demonstration effect, actively promote the continuous upgrading of payment environments in key locations such as airport, high-speed rail, major tourist attractions, and distinctive commercial districts, and based on practical needs, create more high-quality demonstration areas and demonstration scenarios for optimized payment services. We will strive for high-quality progress in the development of payment service environments," said an official from the People's Bank of China Anhui Provincial Branch.
