On March 26th, reporters learned from the Hefei Xinqiao International Airport that starting from March 31st to October 26th, 2024, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport will implement the summer flight schedule for 2024. According to statistics from preliminary civil aviation flight plans, after the change of flight schedule, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is scheduled to handle a peak of 2798 flights per week, averaging 400 flights per day. This includes a weekly plan for 2732 passenger flights and 66 cargo flights. At the beginning of the new season, due to the varying progress of different airlines in implementing their flight schedules, the actual number of flights entering the sales system is approximately 1810 per week, with an average of 260 flights per day.

In terms of passenger transport, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is set to be served by 28 domestic and international airlines operating 102 passenger routes to 72 cities. Compared to the summer flight schedule in 2023, there are three new destinations: Songyuan, Qinhuangdao, and Turpan.

With the new season, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport continues to strengthen the flight frequency to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu-Chongqing city cluster, actively integrating into the national comprehensive transportation network. Among these routes, flights to Guangzhou and Shenzhen can reach up to 12 trips per day, and to Chengdu, up to 18 trips per day (5 to Shuangliu and 13 to Tianfu). These flights are distributed throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening, essentially forming express flights service. Additionally, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport maintains its flight frequency to other provincial capitals and tourist cities, with up to 9 daily flights to Kunming, 8 to Chongqing, and 8 to Guiyang. There are also up to 5 daily flights to Harbin, Shenyang, and Changchun, offering business and leisure travelers more travel options.

Regarding regional and international routes, with the continuous optimization of visa policies and the ongoing enhancement of customs clearance facilitation, there is a growing demand for outbound travel. Starting from June, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport will launch a new route to Seoul, South Korea, providing outbound travelers with more travel options.
