In the past year, Anhui province's total R&D investment reached 115.25 billion yuan, ranking 10th nationwide in terms of total amount. The R&D intensity reached 2.56%, surpassing the national average for the first time and ranking 7th nationwide. The innovation environment ranks 3rd nationwide, and the innovation activity of manufacturing enterprises above designated size ranks 3rd nationwide. More than 1,300 people in Anhui selected for the national key science and technology talent program, ranking 8th nationwide. In recent years, Anhui province has strengthened the service guarantee for national laboratories and accelerated the construction of three major scientific and technological innovation fields: quantum information, fusion energy, and deep space exploration. We have also developed an active terahertz millimeter-level human imaging security scanner, and have already received the first batch of market orders. Based on the research results of deep space exploration laboratories, we have formed an aerospace information industry cluster led by Hefei and Wuhu, attracting hundreds of upstream and downstream enterprises and research institutions in the industry chain.

The rapid growth of technology companies has driven the vigorous development of the technology industry. Currently, iFLYTEK's large-scale model Spark leads the nation, and Anhui's artificial intelligence industry development index ranks 6th nationwide, with the province's intelligent computing power ranking among the top in the country. Our province actively seizes new tracks in future industries and focuses on developing six major future industrial directions, including quantum technology, low-carbon energy, and aerospace technology. Anhui province are also planning and laying out future industrial areas such as synthetic biology, compound semiconductors, humanoid robots, solid-state batteries, and hydrogen energy.

Since 2023, emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, advanced photovoltaics and energy storage in Anhui Province have made comprehensive efforts. Integrated circuit production has more than doubled, the flexible display industry output value has grown 1.9 times, the equipment manufacturing industry's revenue has exceeded one trillion yuan, and the output value of the new materials industry has exceeded 520 billion yuan. In 2023, the value-added of high-tech enterprises above designated size in Anhui accounted for 70.3% of the growth in industrial enterprises above designated size.
