On February 4, 2024, at Xinqiyuan Family Farm in Renhai Village, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, villagers were harvesting seleng wormwood (Artemisia selengensis).

Currently, the seleng wormwood covering over 150 mu (about 10 hectares) at Renhai Village Xinqiyuan Family Farm in Xinhua Neighborhood has entered the harvesting period. Local villagers are busy with tasks such as harvesting, sorting, and shipping, painting a picture of a bountiful harvest at the plantation. It is understood that this year, each mu of seleng wormwood can bring vegetable farmers over ten thousand yuan in economic income.

In recent years, based on local resource advantages and industrial foundation, Yingdong District in Fuyang City, Anhui Province has guided farmers to adjust their industrial structure based on local conditions, actively promoting the industrialization and scale development of vegetable production. Currently, the vegetable planting area in the district exceeds 100,000 mu year-round, with an output of over 250,000 tons, which has effectively solved the employment issue for the remaining labor force in the area, promoted increased income for the masses, and contributed to rural revitalization.
