Anhui’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose 8.3 percent year on year to 4.2959 trillion yuan ($675.32 billion) in 2021, sending the two-year average growth to 6 percent, according to a statistical communique released on Tuesday by the Bureau of Statistics of Anhui Province. The value-added output of the primary sector reached 336.06 billion yuan, up 7.4 percent, that of the secondary sector increased 7.9 percent to 1.7613 trillion yuan, and that of the tertiary sector stood at 2.1985 trillion yuan, up 8.7 percent, said the Statistical Communique of National Economic and Social Development of Anhui Province in 2021. The GDP per capita reached 70,321 yuan in 2021, 7,910 yuan more than that a year earlier. The province’s permanent resident population hit 61.13 million at the end of 2021, an increase of 80,000 over the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, 59.4 percent of the permanent residents lived in urban areas, compared to 58.3 percent at the end of 2020. Anhui’s annual per capita disposable income went up 10 percent year on year to 30,904 yuan last year. After deducting price factors, per capita disposable income rose 9 percent. Per capita consumption hit 21,911 yuan, up 16.1 percent year on year. The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 43,009 yuan, up 9 percent, while the per capita consumption grew 16.8 percent to 26,495 yuan. Rural residents’ disposable income per capita increased 10.5 percent to 18,368 yuan, while the per capita consumption stood at 17,163 yuan, up 14.2 percent.
