The exhibition work of the new Hefei Science and Technology Museum is in the final countdown, and it is expected to be open for reception in early August. As one of the business cards showcasing the characteristics of 'Science and Innovation' of Hefei, the new museum has a unique design from the building to the exhibition layout. The new museum covers an area of about 70 mu (about 4.7 hectares), with a building area of 50,000 square meters, including 30,000 square meters above ground and 20,000 square meters below ground. The new museum is mainly based on the themes of 'Exploration and Experience, Understanding and Cognition, Transformation and Innovation,' including 11 exhibition halls such as the 'Nature' and 'Curiosity' halls. There are various fascinating scenes, such as the retro steam locomotive, 'water world', 'mirror maze', 'beauty of rotation', and vast 'African grasslands'. According to preliminary estimates, there are over 800 exhibits in the new Hefei Science and Technology Museum. Previously, the Dome Theater and other exhibition areas have received much attention from the public. The Dome Theater can accommodate up to 48 people for viewing at the same time, and the audience can experience highly realistic scenarios such as flying, shuttle, speed descent, climbing, etc. Along the story route, they can enjoy a unique sensory experience as if being there.
