The second list of universities and disciplines included in the ‘double world-class project’ was released on Monday, including 13 disciplines at three universities in east China’s Anhui province. The 13 disciplines are material science and engineering at Anhui University, mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, geophysics, biology, history of science and technology, material science and engineering, computer science and technology, nuclear science and technology, safety science and engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China, and management science and technology at Hefei University of Technology. The list, unveiled by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission, included seven universities. All of the 140 universities on the first list of the project, released in 2017, remained on the latest list.
