During the ongoing China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the city of Zigong in southwest China's Sichuan province has organized 18 trading companies to showcase cultural products such as colorful lanterns, animatronic dinosaurs, and tie-dyeing, representing artifacts and crafts from the region. In addition, on Sept. 4, Zigong and the city of Hefei in Anhui province jointly hosted the first National Cultural Export Base Forum, pooling wisdom on how best to build cultural export bases and promote cultural products globally. Zigong boasts over 85% of the domestic lantern market share and 92% of the global market share. Over 1,000 lantern manufacturing companies exist at the Zigong Cultural Export Base, with cultural trading partners spanning more than 80 countries and regions, contributing to the development of the cultural goods trade. CIFTIS runs from Sept. 2 to 7 in China's capital, Beijing. The trade fair has attracted more than 10,000 enterprises from 153 countries and regions, highlighting openness, cooperation, and global economic recovery. Among them, 2,400 firms will showcase their products and services offline.
