According to the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Travel Forecast Report released by Ctrip on Sept 13, Sanya's tourism orders for the holiday, which will fall from Sept 29 to Oct 6, grew a staggering 954 percent compared to last year. Among them, inter-provincial holiday bookings accounted for 97 percent, with a remarkable year on year increase of 963 percent. The extended holiday period has provided favorable conditions for long-distance travel. Based on the current order volume, Sanya has emerged as a popular long-haul destination. During the holiday, the city is set to boost its tourism industry with a series of concerts, music festivals, and marathons. On Oct 3, a concert will be held at the Sanya Sports Center Stadium, where renowned singers such as Alan Tam, Priscilla Chan and A-Do are set to wow fans with an array of classic songs. The last leg of the 14th Hainan International Road Cycling Race will also take place in Sanya from Oct 5 to 9. Due to its enhanced competitiveness and spectator appeal, this event is expected to boost sports tourism consumption and promote tourism in cities along the race route. Various tourism-related industries in Sanya are also preparing for the holiday surge. Sanya's tourism enterprises have introduced enticing packages to welcome the incoming tourists. This includes seaside hotel accommodations, yacht excursions, snorkeling experiences, airport transportation services, duty-free coupons, and distinctive Hainan culinary experiences.
