638 projects worth 735.1 billion yuan ($103.3 billion) were signed at the World Manufacturing Convention (WMC) 2019 held in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province from September 20 to 23.
The four-day event, under the theme of "Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity: Embracing the New Era of Manufacturing," brought together more than 4,500 representatives from 78 countries and regions, including senior managers from 111 Global Fortune 500 companies and 30-odd well-known experts and scholars.
Over 800 companies from home and abroad displayed some 2,000 products at the convention. As of September 23, more than 350,000 people visited the exhibition.
Contracts were also signed for 149 programs featuring cooperation between Anhui province and its counterparts in the Yangtze River Delta region - Shanghai and Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces - with an investment of 101.8 billion yuan.
A total of 436 projects worth 447.1 billion yuan were signed at the first WMC last year.
