In northern China, people worship the god of wealth on the second day of the Spring Festival. Both business people and ordinary families would carry out activities to worship the god of wealth. On this day, people eat wontons at noon, and fish and mutton are used as sacrificial offerings. Many people also go to the temple of wealth to worship the god of wealth, and some places would hold temple fairs on this day.
In ancient times, people would also visit their ancestors' graves on this day. This custom has been passed down in some areas. People pay New Year's greetings to their ancestors by offering sacrifices to them, and express their thoughts and respect for their ancestors.
In the southern part of Anhui Province, “He Qi Cai” is an indispensable dish during Spring Festival. The ingredients of this dish include finely-chopped carrots, bamboo shoots, eggs, meat and day lilies. After frying these ingredients, add sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, sugar and vinegar, mix well, the tasty dish is finished.
