The National Energy Administration released a list of 56 demonstration projects on the Internet Plus Smart Energy, including four from East China’s Anhui province, said the local energy watchdog Wednesday.
The Internet Plus Smart Energy, also referred to as the energy internet, focuses on integrating energy production, transmission, storage and consumption with the market and the internet.
The province is ranked fifth in the country, with four programs on the list, following Jiangsu province, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong province, according to the Anhui Provincial Energy Administration.
Among the pioneering programs, three will be conducted in the Xinzhan Hi-Tech District in Hefei, capital of Anhui province, the Gaogou Cable Base in Wuwei county and Hefei’s Hi-Tech District, respectively. The rest, an electric vehicle renting program, will be jointly launched by cities of Wuhu, Huainan and Chizhou.
The administration said it will try to ensure the programs will kick off as soon as possible.
