Chery Holding Group in Wuhu, East China’s Anhui province launched a recreational vehicle brand in cooperation with REV group, an American manufacturer of specialty vehicles and leading provider of parts and services.
The first five mid-to-high-end C-type RVs have hit the market, priced from 498,000 yuan (US$74,200) to 868,000 yuan, Anhui Daily reported, citing insiders. They can be driven by C1 driving license holders.
Chery and REV entered into partnership in December 2017 as they signed an agreement, pledging to produce RVs, ambulances and other specialty vehicles.
Chery has mature vehicle-manufacturing business, considerable experience in domestic market and advantages in export. One of its subsidiaries, Tuju Campsite Investment and Management operates dozens of campsites across the country.
