Anhui’s industrial value-added output rose 3.0% year-on-year in October, sending the two-year average growth to 5.7 percent, according to data from the Bureau of Statistics of Anhui Province. The industrial value-added output increased 12.1% during the Jan-Oct period. In October, the value-added output of the mining industry edged up 1.9%, that of the manufacturing industry increased 2.2%, and that of the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply sector grew 14.6%. 22 out of the province’s 41 industries saw value-added output increases. The value-added output of manufacturing industries in computer, communication and other electronic equipment were at the first place, up by 22%. Especially in the manufacturing industry of vehicles, new-energy cars rose nearly 1.6 times. The pharmaceutical industry was among the 19 industries with a decline in value-added output, down 7.2 percent. Anhui province’s industrial production continued to recover in October. The fourth quarter is the peak season for industrial production. Price stability, unimpeded industrial and supply chains, and the internal driving force of the industrial economy are the key elements to intensify the province’s economic recovery, the bureau said.
