East China's Anhui province posted tea export growth in 2020 despite the COVID-19 epidemic.

The province exported 66,000 tons of tea leaves last year, worth 1.94 billion yuan (about US$300.50 million). They represented 10.7 percent and 13.8 percent increases from a year earlier, respectively, according to Hefei Customs.

With the global popularity of health tea, more and more producers have declared for export since last year. Health tea is a health-care beverage made of green tea, black tea or oolong tea, as well as a proper amount of traditional Chinese medicine.

Tea exports grew despite the COVID-19 epidemic and the floods as the province took a slew of measures to help export-oriented enterprises.
