Chinese automaker JAC reports surging sales in January

Chinese automaker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd. (JAC) in January saw a substantial year-on-year increase in sales, the company has said.

JAC sold a total of 57,700 vehicles last month, jumping 54.62 percent year on year, according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Sales of purely electric passenger cars soared 277.83 percent year on year to 8,199 units, the statement noted.

The company also reported rising yearly output growth in January. JAC produced a total of 57,100 vehicles last month, up 51.67 percent from a year earlier. Enditem
