A-share IPOs in East China’s Anhui province hit a record high in 2020 as 20 local companies got listed in the A-share market. The province ranked 6th in the country, following Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Beijing and Shanghai. Of the 20 IPOs, the STAR board accounted for eight, while four ones were launched on the registration-based ChiNext board, bringing the province to the 4th place in China. Anhui was home to 126 listed companies as of December 31, ranking 9th in the country. Meanwhile, seven companies awaited IPO approval, bringing the province to the 9th spot. They are expected to raise 3.304 billion yuan (about US$512 million) of funds in total.
