Anhui raises emergency response to Level II

Pub Date:2020-07-16 15:53 Source:www.cnanhui.org

Anhui province has been battered by seven bouts of heavy rainstorms since June. The number of rainy days reached 25.4 in the province on average, hitting a year-on-year record high since 1961.

The torrential downpours have caused serious flood disasters in many parts of Anhui.

The province is confronting a grim flood control situation as the water level of the Anhui-section Yangtze River keeps rising.

The provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters on Tuesday raised the emergency response for flood control to Level II, the second highest in the response system.

The province will spear no efforts to protect people's lives and assets.(By Li Renjian)
