Rumors have been circulating that the fourth and fifth subway lines in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province, will be built this year. When exactly will the projects kick off?
Bids for the projects were opened and evaluated, with 12 builders chosen from all the bidders, Anhui Business Daily reported Monday, citing Anhui Hefei Public Resource Dealing Group Co.
According to the tenders, construction on Metro Line 4 and Metro Line 5 is expected to start on March 30.
It will take roughly 1,000 days to complete each section of the routes, which fall into 12 sections under the tenders.
The 41.3-km Metro Line 4 is designed to run from Jimingshan Road in the west to Dongfang Avenue in the northeast, while the 40.2-km Metro Line 5 will link the south with the north, from Yunnan Road to Taihe Road.
