Despite the epidemic outbreak in China, progress has been made in the construction of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail Hefei-Anqing section.As the last pair of long steel tracks were laid in Anqing city, the track-laying work has come to an end.The Hefei-Anqing section has a length of 162 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 km per hour.The West Hefei-Anqing part is expected to be put into operation in early April. Then, journey time from Hefei to Anqing will be shortened from the current 2 hours to 40 minutes.
