Bohou Village is located in the southwest of Yalong Bay National Tourism Resort, about 20 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Tropical Paradise Forest Park, Rose Valley, Red Canyon Golf Course and other scenic spots, and is a purely Li ethnic group settlement village. In the past, the land in Bohou Village was saline-alkali land, and the villagers could only rely on extensive agriculture as their main source of income. The planting of coconuts and pig farming were the main economic sources. After the implementation of beautiful rural construction in Bohou Village, great changes have taken place in the village. The villagers have significantly increased their income through the development of residential accommodation industry, employment in enterprises, land leasing, courtyard economy, etc. In June 2017, a boom in beautiful rural construction emerged in Bohou Village. Relying on the resources and platform of Yalong Bay National Resort, with rose culture, Li ethnic culture, and creative culture as the foundation, and with farmer professional cooperatives as the main body, Bohou Village independently operates and introduces enterprises to vigorously develop the residential accommodation industry, characteristic catering industry, and cultural and creative industries. Currently, there are 61 residential accommodations in Bohou Village with more than 1863 rooms, making it one of the largest residential villages in Hainan.
