On April 8, 2023, the Dangshan Liyuan (Pear Orchard) Half-Marathon started in the "Pear Capital of the World," Dangshan County, Suzhou City, Anhui. Around 2,500 participants took part in the race while running through the track in flower sea, showcasing their passion and vitality of life with their speed and endurance. 
At 8:30 on the morning of the race day, with the sound of the starting gun, the half-marathon, fun-run, and mini-marathon runners from three different groups departed from the Lihua (Pear Blossom) Square one after another. They ran through Mairui Avenue, enjoying the sea of flowers as they turned right onto Liangwang Road. Then, after returning down Xuri Road, they experienced the beautiful spring scenery of Dangshan. 
After intense competition, Sun Zhongju won the women's half marathon championship, followed by Fei Yumei and Wu Xuanxia in second and third place, respectively. Li Honghao won the men's half marathon championship, followed by Zhu Keke and Liu Zhiyuan in second and third place, respectively. 
Since the inaugural event in April 2016, the Dangshan Liyuan (Pear Orchard) Marathon has reached its eighth year. The event is held twice a year, allowing participants to enjoy the pear blossoms and vast orchards in the spring and autumn, respectively. It has become a well-known race in the running community and has received high praise and expectations from many runners.
