Workers were installing safety barriers on the newly-built Eping Mountain Road in Dongdao village, Wuhu, Anhui province on Monday. Although the Dongdao section of Eping Mountain Road between Chachong villiage and Dongdao village was merely 1.16 kilometers long, the route was difficult to built, due to surrounding cliffs steep slope and harsh environment. After multiple field demonstrations by experts, a feasible plan came out and the construction of Eping Mountain Road started in late July. As the road is completed and opened to traffic, the distance from Chachong village to Fanchang main urban area will be shortened from 30 kilometers to about 12 kilometers. It will play a significant role in reducing the transportation costs of agricultural products, improving the residents’ living environment, fostering rural tourism and boosting the sense of fulfillment and happiness.
