Several projects in Anhui won the 'Luban Prize'

Recently, the China Construction Industry Association announced the list of candidates for the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Quality Project) 2022-2023. Several projects including the Chuzhou Olympic Sports Center, Material Science Teaching and Research Building of University of Science and Technology of China, and overall relocation of Anhui Public Security College were awarded the Luban Prize.

The Luban Prize is the highest honorary award for engineering quality in the Chinese construction industry, often referred to as the "Oscar" of the construction industry. It represents the highest level of engineering quality in China's current construction projects. Among them, the Material Science Teaching and Research Building project of the University of Science and Technology of China actively promoted green construction, intelligent construction, digital construction, and industrialization during its construction process, achieving good social and economic benefits.

The Material Science Teaching and Research Building project of the University of Science and Technology of China is located in the east campus of the university. It is a core project of the scientific and educational infrastructure of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is built to aim at the world's technological frontier and meet domestic major needs. The project integrates scientific research, teaching, experimentation, and academic exchanges. After its completion, it has been successively occupied by eight key laboratories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui Province, such as the National Research Center for Microscale Material Science in Hefei and the State Key Laboratory of Particle Detection and Electronics. It provides strong support for Hefei to become a national demonstration city with innovative development advantages. The project was constructed by Anhui Construction Engineering Third Group and began construction on April 28, 2016, and was completed and delivered for use on April 4, 2019.

"On the basis of the original energy consumption monitoring platform, a unique power carrier technology has been used to add a remote automatic intelligent control system." Tu Chengguo, the project leader, introduced that the project vigorously uses green construction energy consumption remote monitoring and control technology.
