Seven major sites in Anhui will be protected by the state

A few days ago, the National Cultural Heritage Administration issued《the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the Protection and Utilization of Major Sites》. Lingjiatan Site, Shuangdun Site, Yuhui Village Site, Shouchun City Site, Dagong Mountain-Fenghuang Mountain Copper Mine Site, Mingzhongdu site and Liuzi site were selected.

Among them, Lingjiatan site , Shuangdun site，Yuhui Village site, Shouchun City site and Mingzhongdu site are national archaeological site park construction projects. The Dagong Mountain-Fenghuang Mountain copper mine sites provide data for the study of the origin of early copper materials and the origin and development of bronze culture in China. As an important remain of the Tongji Canal of the Grand Canal in Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Liuzi site in Suixi County has important value for studying the route of the Tongji Canal, the structure of the canal, changes in the river course, and hydraulic technology.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Anhui will adhere to the principle of protection first and rational utilization, relying on major sites to further promote the research on key topics such as the Chinese Civilization Exploration Project and "Archaeological China"; strengthen "archaeology first, transfer later", and implement space management and control of large sites; strengthen the planning and implementation of major archaeological sites projects, promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism in national archaeological site parks, give full play to their social and educational functions and values, and ensure that major archaeological sites are alive and passed on to the future.
