Hybrid chemical tanker launched in Wuhu

Built by Wuhu Shipyard Co. in East China’s Anhui province, the world’s first hybrid chemical tanker with a capacity of 22,000 tonnes, is launched on January 22, 2021. The 167.7-meter-long ship integrates liquefied natural gas and dual-fuel propulsion technologies and is also powered by electricity. Boasting a number of industry-leading technologies, it fills the gaps in Anhui’s building of dual-fuel and ice-strengthened ships. (By Shen Gongshi/Anhui Daily)
