The 4th Session of the 13th Anhui Provincial People’s Congress opened on Thursday in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province. Li Jinbin, Party chief of the province and head of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People’s Congress, chaired the meeting. Governor Li Guoying delivered an annual government work report at the opening meeting. The legislators examined the province’s draft 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035. The agenda also included examining a report on the implementation of the annual plan on economic and social development in 2020 and a draft plan on economic and social development in 2021, and examining a report on the implementation of the local budgets in 2020 and the draft budgets in 2021.
