On May 8, 2026, the 18th Anhui International Tea Industry Expo (hereinafter the “Tea Expo”) opened in Hefei. This year, it is jointly hosted by the Anhui Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Provincial Department of Commerce, and the municipal governments of Hefei, Lu’an, Xuancheng, Chizhou, Anqing, and Huangshan, attracting more than 600 domestic and international tea and tea‑industry chain companies to exhibit and over 1,400 buyers to visit and purchase on site.
The Expo covers a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters and features sections on rural revitalization, "Beautiful Anhui Tea", branded tea enterprises, tea culture and tea technology, the online Tea Expo, and an international exhibition area, collectively showcasing the latest achievements in the coordinated development of Anhui’s “three teas” and full‑industry‑chain products. In addition, the event will host numerous tea‑related activities such as a dialogue on the development of new tea beverages, brand promotion meetings, production‑and‑marketing matchmaking sessions, consumer‑assistance initiatives, and an Anhui tea cultural market.

During the Expo, in addition to the six major tea‑producing cities, Bozhou, Chuzhou, Ma’anshan, Wuhu, and Tongling each have independent booths, and tea‑producing counties and districts such as Jinzhai, Huoshan, Shucheng, and Guangde are participating as delegations. On the production‑and‑marketing side, leading domestic tea companies and industry resources—such as Bama Tea, Huaxiangyuan, and Nongfu Spring—major supermarket chains, and top players in the chain tea‑beverage sector were invited. The organizers also carried out targeted investment promotion towards the Belt and Road partner countries, key tea‑producing countries, and overseas trade associations; exhibitors include companies from countries such as France, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Kenya. These efforts strengthen brand promotion and matchmaking for deals, helping Anhui tea brands go global. The Expo runs for four days and will continue through May 11, 2026.
