The "CIIE in Anhui" event officially begins on March 31.

It is understood that the "CIIE in Local Regions" initiative serves as an extension and expansion of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Since 2021, the Ministry of Commerce has organized over 1,300 CIIE exhibitors, investment promotion agencies, and multinational companies to visit eight provinces (and autonomous regions, municipalities), effectively promoting the transformation of "exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors."

This "CIIE in Anhui" event marks the first stop of the 2026 "CIIE in Local Regions" series, aiming to help Anhui fully showcase its investment and development opportunities and facilitate in-depth foreign participation in Anhui's opening-up and development.

The theme of the "CIIE in Anhui" event is "Deepening the Introduction of Foreign Investment, Serving the Dual Circulation." On the morning of March 31, there will be one high-profile thematic promotion conference and four industry-specific matchmaking meetings focusing on Anhui's advantageous sectors.

The thematic promotion conference will comprehensively present Anhui's strategic opportunities, industrial ecosystem, business environment, and opening-up policies, aiming to efficiently connect with CIIE resources and promote the transformation of "exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors." The four industry-specific matchmaking meetings will focus on: intelligent connected new energy vehicles; high-end equipment manufacturing and modern services; green food and consumer goods; biomedicine and high-end medical devices; and a matchmaking session by Bank of China for cross-border cooperation.

Following this, attending guests will be divided into several routes to visit cities including Hefei, Lu'an, Bengbu, Wuhu, Chizhou, and Huangshan. They will conduct on-site tours of the Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone, development zones, and leading representative enterprises, allowing global businesses to experience Anhui's development momentum firsthand and strengthen their confidence in investing in Anhui.

Both the CIIE participants and local enterprises in Anhui are highly anticipating the "CIIE in Anhui" event.

According to statistics, representatives from over 80 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises will attend, including nearly 40 global and China regional executives from approximately 30 countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, France, Canada, and South Korea. Over 250 enterprises and institutions from within Anhui have registered to participate.
