On the early morning of January 13, high-speed rail tickets from Hefeinan Railway Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station were made available for booking on the 12306 platform, with sales officially starting at 12:30 p.m. on the same day. This marks the long-awaited official launch of the direct high-speed rail service between Anhui and Hong Kong, scheduled to commence operations on January 27. On the early morning of January 12, tickets for high-speed rail journeys from Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station to Hefeinan Railway Station were released for sale, with the earliest departure scheduled for January 26. However, at that time, tickets for the return journey from Hefei to Hong Kong were not yet available. One day later, a check of the railway 12306 platform by reporters revealed that tickets for high-speed rail trips from Hefeinan Railway Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station had also been officially released for sale, with the earliest departure set for January 27. The train departs from Hefeinan Railway Station at 11:17 a.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 5:52 p.m. after a journey of 6 hours and 35 minutes. Consequently, the direct high-speed rail service between Hefei and Hong Kong is now fully operational in both directions, making it more convenient for residents of Hefei to travel directly to Hong Kong by high-speed rail from their doorstep. Following the railway schedule adjustment on January 5 last year, Huangshanbei Station also launched its first direct high-speed rail service to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station. This means that two cities in Anhui Province now offer direct high-speed rail access to Hong Kong.
