On December 20, at the Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Conference co‑hosted by the Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the China Computer Federation, experts and scholars from academia and industry, along with sector representatives, engaged in in‑depth exchanges and idea collisions. Their dialogue helped promote the deep integration of AI scientific and industrial innovation, injecting strong momentum into Anhui's efforts to build an AI industry cluster with national influence.

AI is redefining productivity and creativity, and the deep integration of academia, industry, and policy support is a key driving force for technological progress. As a rapidly rising hub of technological innovation, Anhui provides fertile ground for AI technologies to move from the laboratory to the marketplace.

In recent years, Anhui has seized the opportunities presented by the development of general artificial intelligence, continuously strengthening top‑level planning and solidifying foundational capabilities in computing power, data, and models. It has issued and implemented the "AI+" action plan and continuously iterated and upgraded specialized policies. Anhui has built intelligent computing capacity exceeding 45,000 P, with 893 AI enterprises above the designated size and 12,000 enterprises in the AI industrial chain, becoming a backbone of the national AI strategic layout.

During the summit dialogue, under the theme "Collaborative Innovation of Science and Industry in the 'AI+' Era," experts and scholars from Anhui University, Peking University, the Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) conducted in‑depth discussions on topics such as challenges to technology deployment and mechanisms for collaborative innovation.

Looking ahead, Anhui will further implement the "AI+" initiative, systematically lay out cutting‑edge tracks, emphasize scenario‑driven innovation, aim for integrated applications, and focus on cultivating vertical‑domain models. The province will strive to build a number of demonstration sites for scenario applications and industrial innovation parks.
