On November 25, Anhui General Aviation Holding Group and Feixi County Government held a working meeting and jointly signed a cooperation agreement for the Hefei‑Feixi General Aviation Airport project, marking the project’s move into a substantive advancement phase.

The low‑altitude economy and general aviation industry are strategic emerging sectors with huge development potential. They play an important role in building a modern integrated transportation system, enhancing a city’s overall capacity, and supporting industrial development. Hefei is currently vigorously developing the low‑altitude economy, attracting a number of leading enterprises and forming a full‑chain layout. With its clear locational advantages, convenient transportation, and solid industrial base, Feixi County is an ideal site for a general aviation airport.

Under the agreement, the two parties will use this signing as an opportunity to establish a regular, long‑term communication mechanism, set up a dedicated working task force, accelerate the project’s preparatory work, and jointly push for an early start of construction. They will carry out deep cooperation in areas such as general aviation, the low‑altitude economy, air logistics, emergency rescue, and aviation tourism, actively expand diversified scenario applications, and build the Hefei‑Feixi General Aviation Airport into a regional hub general aviation airport with comprehensive operational support and a wide scope of services, injecting new momentum into the high‑quality development of the low‑altitude economy and general aviation industry for the city and the province.

It is reported that the provisional site for the Hefei‑Feixi General Aviation Airport is located south of the Hefei International Port Area. It is one of eight regional hub general aviation airports in the province and is currently classified as an A1‑level general aviation airport. The airfield is rated 2B, with space reserved for future 4C runways to accommodate medium‑sized passenger aircraft. The project will cover about 1,300 mu (approximately 87 hectares), of which the initial development zone is planned to occupy 676 mu. Once completed and operational, the project will further improve the province’s general aviation transport network and provide strong support for the development of the regional low‑altitude economy.
