The press conference for the 2025 International Automobile Federation (FIA) EcoRally Cup (China) and the Greater Huangshan International EcoRally (hereinafter, the Rally) was held recently. As the highest‑level international event in the new‑energy vehicle field, the Rally will officially kick off in Anhui on September 24.

This multi‑day rally will assemble in Hefei on September 23, then run from September 24 to 27 with stages and overnight stops in Anqing, Chizhou, Huangshan, and Xuancheng.

The route links scenic and cultural highlights including Mount Huangshan, Mount Jiuhua, Mount Tianzhu, Shengjin Lake, Taiping Lake, Taohuatan Pool, Tongcheng’s Liuchixiang (Six‑Foot Alley), and ancient Huizhou villages. The event will deeply explore and integrate Anhui’s rich heritage — including Huizhou culture and Huangmei opera — weaving these cultural elements into the rally narrative so each city can be showcased as a local ambassador.

At rest stops and campsites, local specialty agricultural products such as Hefei Dawei grapes, Yuexi Cuilan tea, Jiuhua huangjing (Polygonatum), Huangshan Maofeng tea, and Ningguo walnuts will be offered for sale. Combined with celebrity livestreams, on‑site tastings, and QR‑code ordering, this will create a convenient “taste now, buy now” experience. The Rally will also develop featured night markets, themed shopping areas, race merchandise, and cultural‑creative markets, extending the value chain for local industries.

All vehicles in this year’s Rally will be new‑energy vehicles, and the event will introduce an innovative provincial‑level forestry carbon‑credit mechanism to achieve full lifecycle carbon neutrality. The organizers aim to establish a national benchmark for zero‑carbon sporting events, vividly demonstrating that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.”
