In recent years, Anhui has seized opportunities to accelerate the development of the aerospace information industry from low altitude to deep space. By solidifying the industrial foundation, extending the industrial chain, and enhancing independent innovation capabilities, Anhui has continuously pushed forward to make this sector a powerful new engine driving the province’s high-quality economic development.
Low-Altitude Economy: Linking Chains, Blossoming Applications At the Wuhu Aviation Industrial Park, the birth of a general aviation aircraft has realized a “complete industrial chain within the park.” From propellers and avionics systems to engines, key component suppliers are all located nearby. Through targeted investment attraction, extending and supplementing the industrial chain, and activating low-altitude resources, the park has gathered nearly 200 industrial chain enterprises covering the entire process of research and development, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance, with a 100% self-support rate for core aircraft components. The park has not only achieved the goal of “building aircraft without leaving the park” but also innovatively developed 19 nationally leading low-altitude application scenarios. In 2024, Wuhu’s low-altitude economy industrial revenue reached 46.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.95%, vividly illustrating the meaning of “Wuhu taking off.” In the provincial capital Hefei, the development of the low-altitude economy relies on a strong industrial base and rich application scenarios. The Luogang Park, transformed from the old airport, is becoming an excellent platform for low-altitude sightseeing and other applications. Following the acquisition of the first manned civil pilotless aerial vehicle “operation certificate,” Heyi Aviation will officially launch commercial low-altitude sightseeing flights with the EH216-S aircraft here and plans to gradually expand into urban commuting scenarios, turning the idea of “flying taxis” from imagination into reality. Currently, Hefei has opened more than 200 drone flight routes for medical deliveries, rail inspections, food deliveries, and more. The abundance of scenarios accelerates full-chain aggregation, with over 300 low-altitude economy enterprises gathered in the city, forming a complete ecosystem of R&D, testing, production, and operation. Deep Space Exploration: Building Industry Foundations, Leading with Innovation In Anhui, the emerging industrial chain is not only active in low altitude but also extends into the vastness of deep space, paving the “road to the sky.” In 2019, Anhui Jiuzhou Yunjian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Yuhui District, Bengbu City, igniting the spark for the commercial aerospace industry there. Subsequently, the Anhui provincial government designated commercial aerospace as a key future industry and supported Bengbu’s development of the commercial aerospace sector. Following a 1+4+N overall layout, the China·Bengbu Commercial Aerospace Industrial Park was constructed. So far, Bengbu has signed agreements with 16 commercial aerospace enterprises, with a total investment of 5.52 billion yuan. An industrial cluster integrating the “rocket chain,” “satellite chain,” and “service chain” is taking shape. From gazing at the stars to deeply cultivating industry, Anhui is turning its “skyward imagination” into tangible new quality productive forces, writing a new chapter of high-quality development.
