Exhibitions serve as a vital platform for promoting economic and trade exchanges, strengthening international economic cooperation, supporting corporate internationalization, and connecting global resources. To accelerate the cultivation of new drivers in foreign trade and empower enterprises in exploring international markets, the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce annually releases a catalog of recommended domestic and international exhibitions. Since the beginning of this year, Anhui has focused on four export-oriented industries—automobiles and auto parts, electronics and information technology, photovoltaics and energy storage, and smart home appliances (furnishings). Leveraging renowned international exhibition platforms, the province has conducted themed exhibitions for Anhui's export-oriented industries in a "sub-exhibition" format globally. From Bangkok and Dubai to Astana, five such exhibitions have been held so far. Foreign trade enterprises have leveraged exhibitions to extensively connect with domestic and international buyers, vigorously expand diversified markets, and inject new momentum into the province's foreign trade development. In traditional overseas exhibitions, companies were scattered across various corners of the venue, operating independently to attract clients. In contrast, the export-oriented industry-themed exhibitions adopt a "sub-exhibition" format, where Anhui-based enterprises collectively display under the unified "Anhui Going Global · Outbound Initiative" branding in a dedicated section at international trade fairs. At the end of last year, Anhui issued the 2025 Catalog of Recommended Domestic and International Exhibitions, featuring 333 renowned trade fairs for enterprises to reference and choose from. Moving forward, the Anhui Export-Oriented Industry Themed Exhibitions will also be held in countries and regions such as France, Mexico, and Turkey. In the first five months of this year, Anhui's total import and export value of goods reached 374.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%. Exports amounted to 253.06 billion yuan, up 15.8% year-on-year, maintaining the top position in central region in terms of total value and ranking sixth nationwide in growth rate. This achievement stems from Anhui's continuous efforts to stabilize foreign trade, including nurturing and expanding foreign trade entities and supporting enterprises in "securing overseas orders." Earlier this year, the Anhui Provincial Government issued the "Several Policy Measures to Promote Sustained Economic Recovery and Improvement", which emphasized stabilizing foreign trade growth. The policies include advancing the "Anhui Going Global" initiative, organizing participation in around 50 key exhibitions, and facilitating over 5,000 corporate trips abroad to explore international markets.
