Combining national strategic deployment with its own development realities, Anhui takes a well-considered approach, focusing on the key areas and directions of the “7+N” framework. The province is accelerating the construction of future technology innovation hubs, future scenario application bases, and future industrial clusters with significant influence and competitiveness. Currently, all related work has been fully launched and started off well. In 2024, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government strengthened top-level design and decisively made moves by issuing a comprehensive “Action Plan” to lead and coordinate efforts. They initiated the “7+N” future industry cultivation project, leveraging Anhui’s strengths. Seven key fields were identified including aerospace information, general intelligence, and low-carbon energy, along with several “N” complementary areas such as third-generation semiconductors and advanced equipment manufacturing. Following a “build first, then certify” model, the province planned the construction of the first batch of 10 provincial-level future industry pilot zones. These zones, including policy pilot initiatives, concentrate resources and factors to drive high-quality development of future industries. A relevant official from the High-tech Development Division of Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission stated that the province relies on strategic scientific and technological forces to strengthen innovation in key common technologies and disruptive technologies. Anhui is also building future industry scenario laboratories and pilot zones to leverage applications that drive technological products into the market. The province coordinates government funds, patient capital, and science & technology innovation finance to support the strengthening and expansion of future industries. With forward-looking planning and leadership, a number of Anhui’s future industries are gradually emerging. The artificial intelligence industry development ranking has risen to fifth nationwide; over 200 enterprises have clustered in the low-carbon energy industry field; the life sciences industry is accelerating systematic layout. In the field of humanoid robots, Anhui is rapidly making breakthroughs in key technologies such as the "brain", "cerebellum", and "limbs", aiming to produce no fewer than four domestically representative complete machine models by 2027. In aerospace, the world's first civil unmanned aerial vehicle operator certificate was issued in Anhui. In the first quarter of this year, Anhui’s provincial-level future industry pilot zones achieved an industrial scale exceeding 19.6 billion yuan. The province strives to surpass 200 billion yuan in future industry scale by 2027 and reach 500 billion yuan by 2030.
