On June 10th, reporters learned from Hefei Customs that in May, the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) operated a total of 90 trains, marking a year-on-year increase of 35.05%; the value of goods transported reached 805 million yuan, up by 17.35% compared to the same period last year; and the weight of the cargo was 64,400 tons, a significant rise of 242.55% year-on-year. Recently, the 100th train for the outbound journey of the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) in 2025 set off from Hefeibei Station, carrying 110 TEUs. The main cargo included BCD, freezers, vertical freezers, and refrigerated boxes. This train was a customized service exclusively for Midea, with all goods being locally produced in Anhui factories. "Customs has ensured the timely clearance and logistical needs of customized trains' goods 'going global' through preferential inspection, 'advance declaration,' and 'return freight deduction' measures," said Chen Feng, General Manager of Hefei International Land Port Co., Ltd. "These initiatives have significantly enhanced the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality of our customized trains, attracting more local enterprises to inquire about our customized train services." It is reported that to support the high-quality development of the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) and assist more local enterprises in "going global," Hefei Customs has implemented the "Manifest Consolidation" and "Railway Express Clearance" models to achieve data interconnectivity, enhance clearance efficiency for the rail services, and reduce operational costs for businesses. Additionally, a comprehensive 24/7 appointment-based clearance system has been adopted to ensure uninterrupted service during holidays and special periods. Customized dedicated trains, such as the "White Goods Specialized Train," offer direct "point-to-point" routes, while innovative logistics models like "cross-border e-commerce + rail express" and "bonded goods + rail express" have been introduced, continuously exploring new pathways and approaches for freight train services.
