On the morning of June 7th, the 7th Integrated Development of Yangtze River Delta Summit was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. During the summit, a results briefing was conducted, announcing the list of practical projects for the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta in 2025, the best practice cases of the integrated development of Yangtze River Delta, the second batch of the Yangtze River Delta Innovation Consortium, the achievements in joint protection and governance of Taihu Lake, and the governance outcomes of Xin'an River-Qiandao Lake. Over the past 13 years, the collaborative ecological environment protection efforts between Xin'an River and Qiandao Lake have shown significant results. Currently, the "Xin'an River Model" has been extended to 23 provinces and 28 river basins. According to an assessment by the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, the total value of ecosystem services in the Xin'an River area amounts to 24.65 billion yuan.  

According to statistics, since the pilot program was launched, the water quality of Xin'an River has continuously met the compensation criteria, delivering nearly 7 billion cubic meters of clean water to Qiandao Lake annually, consistently ranking among the rivers with the best water quality in the country. 

Anhui Province and Zhejiang Province have forged a path where economic development and the enhancement of ecological civilization go hand in hand, complementing and benefiting each other.

Hangzhou and Huangshan, situated along the same river basin, have jointly introduced a "Famous Mountains and Lakes" golden tourism route, offering free visits to Huangshan and Qiandao Lake on Wednesdays and Thursdays, attracting over half a million tourists. For two consecutive years, cross-provincial cooperation promotion meetings for the Hangzhou-Huangshan world-class natural ecology and cultural tourism corridor have been held, launching 8 golden tourism routes and signing agreements to mutually exchange tourist sources. 

The Xin'an River Basin has levered the construction of ecological civilization throughout the entire basin, achieving synchronous enhancements in ecological, economic, and social benefits. As a pilot site for the national inter-provincial river basin ecological compensation mechanism, the experience of Xin'an River has been widely promoted across the country.
