On March 10, reporters visited the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge, where the last steel beam has been hoisted, marking the entry into the final closure phase. The bridge’s first segment is accelerating construction to meet the timeline.

Currently, the second segment of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge (from Tower Z5 to the auxiliary channel bridge) has completed the main construction and has entered the phase for auxiliary works. After the bridge is closed, the last two sets of stay cables will be installed. The auxiliary channel bridge has already been closed and is currently undergoing auxiliary construction.

As a key project of the Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway, the main bridge of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge features a three-tower steel truss cable-stayed design with a main span of (2×1120 meters) and a total length of 3,248 meters. It is the world's first double main span cable-stayed bridge exceeding one kilometer with three towers, and it is also the longest connected steel truss cable-stayed bridge in the world.
