The Output of Anhui's Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size Maintains Rapid Growth in November 2024

On December 18, reporters learned from the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics that in November, the province's industrial economy remained overall stable, maintaining a rapid growth rate, with cumulative growth ranking among the top in the country.

Growth Rate Exceeds the National Average

In November, the added value of the province's industrial enterprises above designated size grew by 8.2% year-on-year, exceeding the national average by 2.8 percentage points. This placed Anhui 8th in the country, 1st in the Yangtze River Delta, and 3rd in Central China. From January to November, the added value of the province's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 8.8% year-on-year, 3 percentage points higher than the national average, ranking 4th nationwide and 1st in both the Yangtze River Delta and Central China.

Continued Optimization of Industrial Structure

In November, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry in Anhui grew by 17.4%, contributing as much as 89.7% to the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size, significantly up by 36.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The high-tech manufacturing sector saw an 18.6% increase in added value, contributing 36.3%. Its share of the province's output of the industrial enterprises above designated size rose from 15.6% last year to 17.1%, reflecting the accelerated development of new quality productive forces. The proportion of added value from the six major energy-intensive industries decreased from 27.9% last year to 24.6%.

Automotive and Electronics Industries Contribute Over 50%

In November, the automotive manufacturing and electronics information industries together contributed 55.0% to the growth of Anhui's industrial output of enterprises above designated size. Specifically, the added value of the automotive manufacturing sector grew by 30.5%, contributing 34.3%. The province’s automotive production reached 377,000 units for the month, totaling 3.207 million units, with respective increases of 62.1% and 47.2%. The output of new energy vehicles for the month was 187,000 units, with a cumulative total of 1.48 million units, representing increases of 1.1 times and 89.8%. The added value of the electronics information industry grew by 15.6%, contributing 20.7%.

Increasing Development Vitality

In November, the added value of private industrial enterprises above designated size in the province grew by 10.6% year-on-year, contributing 77.3% to the overall industrial growth, an increase of 4.3 percentage points compared to October. The added value of small and medium-sized enterprises rose by 9.1%, accelerating by 0.1 percentage points compared to October, contributing 63.6%, an increase of 9.9 percentage points.

Record Growth in Export Delivery Value

Benefiting from the automotive manufacturing sector, the export delivery value of the province's industrial enterprises above designated size grew by 33.7% year-on-year in November, marking the highest level since July 2021. Among the 33 industrial categories with exports, 23 reported growth, resulting in a growth coverage of 69.7%.
