On August 29th at 8:35 AM, the inaugural test run train G55201 departed from Xuancheng Railway Station, heading towards Jixibei Station along the newly constructed Xuancheng to Jixi high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as Xuanji High-Speed Railway), marking the commencement of the trial operation phase for the Xuanji High-Speed Railway and counting down to its full operational launch. The trial operation primarily involves conducting a series of tests including train schedule parameter testing, fault simulation, emergency rescue drills, and operating as per the timetable for no less than a month, as required by the test protocol. This simulates the official operational state of the line and serves as a comprehensive "real" inspection of various aspects such as high-speed rail transport organization, train reception and dispatch, service frequency, and equipment status. It provides a scientific basis for the official launch and operation. The Xuanji High-Speed Railway is located in the southern part of Anhui Province. The line starts from Xuancheng Railway Station on the Hefei-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway, passing through Xuanzhou District of Xuancheng City, Ningguo City, and Jixi County, finally arriving at Jixibei Station. The newly built mainline has a total length of 111.6 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It includes three stations: Xuancheng, Ningguonan (a newly constructed station), and Jixibei. The Xuanji High-Speed Railway is an essential part of the Jiangsu-Anhui-Jiangxi Rapid Railway Passage and the intercity railway network in the Wanjiang area. It serves as a backbone route within the Yangtze River Delta Intercity Rail Transit Network. Once operational, the project will further enhance the regional rail network layout. It plays a significant role in creating a "Yangtze River Delta on Rail," developing tourism resources along the line, promoting the construction of world-class leisure and wellness tourism destinations of Great Yellow Mountain, and fostering high-quality regional economic development.
