On the morning of March 30th, reporters arrived at the cherry blossom garden located in Xinhe Village, Langxi County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. Walking along the forest trail, the sight was a sea of flowers, with brightly dressed visitors complementing the intermingling red and white cherry blossoms.

"Coming to Xinhe every flower season, it's truly a beautiful floral world," said Han Liling, a tourist from Xuancheng, who brought her daughter to take photos here, eager to capture the beauty of spring. She told reporters that the cherry blossom garden has been established for over ten years, and several Cherry Blossom Festivals have been held. She comes here almost every year.

Over a decade ago, the collective income of Xinhe Village was less than 30,000 yuan, but by 2023 it has exceeded 1 million yuan, with many farmers earning more than 10,000 yuan in just one season. Notably, in 2023, the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced 20 typical cases of new rural collective economic development at the village level, and Xinhe Village became the only case selected in the entire province.

"The cherry blossoms in Xinhe are a dazzling highlight of Langxi County's spring season. We focus on developing a 'spring economy' that integrates enjoying the spring flowers, spring outings, and tasting spring foods, thereby invigorating the 'beautiful economy' and increase people’s income and wealth," said Yan Changzhi, Deputy Director of the Langxi County Culture and Tourism Bureau. This year, the county has also launched several events themed around spring flower viewing, including the 2024 Xinhe Cherry Blossom Cultural and Tourism Carnival and Jianping Town Peony Flower Viewing Festival. Up to now, the county has welcomed 1.1408 million visitors, an increase of 8.22% compared to the previous year; the income generated was 954 million yuan, up by 5.18%.
