Our province has taken the advancement of emerging industries through "attract investment and talent" strategy and industrial cultivation as key measures to stabilize growth, optimize structure, and increase developmental momentum. The province has established a working system that ensures thorough integration across provincial, municipal, and county levels, as well as coordination among various departments. This has led to notable achievements in gathering essential resources, nurturing and expanding industries, increasing effective investments, and enhancing the sustainability of development. The comprehensive efforts in emerging industries have generated strong growth momentum, injecting robust vitality into the high-quality economic development of the entire province.

The industrial scale has rapidly ascended, with the automobile production reaching 2.491 million units in 2023, jumping from the 7th to the 2nd place nationally, an increase of 48.1%, accounting for 8.3% of the national total. Among these, the production of new energy vehicles was 868,000 units, rising from the 7th to the 4th place nationally, up by 60.5%, and making up 9.1% of the national share. Automobile exports reached 1.147 million units, growing by 80.1% and holding 23.4% of the national export share.

The overall development quality and efficiency have been significantly enhanced. The automotive industry chain's annual revenue surpassed a new milestone of one trillion yuan, with 4,108 enterprises achieving a total revenue of 1.15 trillion yuan, an increase of 28.5%. 

Supporting services continue to improve. By the end of 2023, the province had 452,000 charging stations. The total number of new energy vehicles in the province reached 631,000 units, with 262,000 new units added over the year.

Intelligent manufacturing capabilities continue to advance. As of now, the home appliance industry has established four global "Lighthouse Factories"; and more than thirty new smart home appliance products (systems) were introduced.

The cultural tourism industry continues to boom. Throughout the year, it welcomed 848 million domestic tourists, generating a revenue of 851 billion yuan. Among these, the Great Huangshan region received 272 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 72%; and the tourism revenue reached 285.7 billion yuan, up by 83.9% compared to the previous year.
