From January 26th to February 24th, the Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater has prepared 13 wonderful performances for theater fans throughout the province, inviting you to spend a "cultural year" at the theater.

It is understood that in this year's cultural performances by the Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater, National First-Class Actors Zhao Zhangwei, Wei Yuyao, National Second-Class Actors Wang Ying, Wu Yun, Xu Leiyang, as well as outstanding young actors Li Jie, Zhu Weifang, and others will bring the audience 13 wonderful performances including the Huangmei opera "Marriage of the Fairy Princess," "Female Consort Prince" as well as classic highlights.

The first performance, the Huangmei opera "Marriage of the Fairy Princess," will be held in the Haoren Theater of the Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater on the evening of January 26th. "Marriage of the Fairy Princess" is a traditional representative play of Huangmei opera, compiled and created by the Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater in 1953. In 1955, "Marriage of the Fairy Princess" was made into a movie, becoming popular nationwide and well-known at home and abroad, and has won the National Excellent Preserved Repertoire Award.

"Female Consort Prince" is known as the "signature play" of the Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater and has been performed for decades and has remained popular. It has won the "Special Jury Award" at the Traditional Chinese Opera Festival in Paris and the "Best Play Award" at the Australian Multicultural Festival.
