HEFEI, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Fuliji fried and braised chicken, a local cuisine taking its name from Fuli Town of Yongqiao District in Suzhou, Anhui Province, is renowned for its distinguished making process, fine color, delicate aroma, and excellent taste. To make a Fuliji fried and braised chicken, it involves dozens of spices and needs to go through multiple procedures. In 2008, the making technique of Fuliji fried and braised chicken was listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage of Anhui.
In recent years, Yongqiao District has established a complete industrial chain centering Fuliji fried and braised chicken from breeding, processing to sales. Various measures have been taken to boost the industry including setting industry standards, preserving local high-quality chicken variety and renovating product design, so as to promote rural revitalization.
