The reporter learned from the Anhui Provincial Department of Water Resources on January 12th that in the past year, Anhui province has continued to promote the implementation of major water conservancy projects, with various water conservancy investments reaching 64.13 billion yuan in 2023, an increase of 8.2% compared to the previous year, reaching a new historical high. In the construction and management of water conservancy projects, Anhui province has actively coordinated efforts among industry departments, project entities, and market entities to improve the quality and speed of water conservancy project construction and management. Throughout the year, 86 key water conservancy projects were newly launched, including Fenghuangshan Reservoir, flood storage areas along the Huaihe River, and the treatment of the Anqing section of the Yangtze River. Additionally, 100 projects, including the Yuetan Reservoir and the Bengfu section of the Huaihe River main stream, have passed completion inspections. Nine projects have received the highest award in Anhui's construction industry, the "Yellow Mountain Cup," and the Huayuan Lake Flood Gate Project has received the China Water Conservancy Engineering Quality (Dayu) Award. The Xifei River Pumping Station has won the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Quality Project). Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources issued a document commending a group of provincial-level administrative departments responsible for remarkable achievements in water infrastructure construction, reservoir reinforcement and operation management, and rural water supply. The Provincial Department of Water Resources was among the recognized departments.
