On October 12th, it was reported at a press conference held by the Anhui Provincial Government that this year, Anhui has been accelerating the construction of the new energy vehicles industry, and the construction of an internationally competitive NEV industry cluster has achieved significant results. 
In the first three quarters of this year, the province's automobile production reached 1.699 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 45.7%, accounting for 8.1% of the national total. The production of NEVs reached 606,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 76.6%, accounting for 9.6% of the national total. The export of automobiles reached 822,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 78%, accounting for 24.3% of the national total. This represents an increase of 3.9 percentage points compared to the beginning of the year, and every 4 vehicles exported from the country includes 1 vehicle made in Anhui. From January to August, the value added of the province's automobile industry above designated scale increased by 43.2%, a growth rate 31.5 percentage points higher than the national automobile industry. The operating income reached 321.21 billion yuan, an increase of 45.8%, a growth rate 34.9 percentage points higher than the national average. The total profit reached 14.71 billion yuan, an increase of 285.6%, a growth rate 283.2 percentage points higher than the national average. Currently, the total number of NEVs in the province is 544,000, with a penetration rate of 4.62%. The NEV penetration rate for newly sold vehicles in the province this year is 39.2%. This means that nearly 40 out of every 100 vehicles sold in the province this year are NEVs. The promotion of NEVs is being accelerated, and the construction of charging and swapping infrastructure is being simultaneously promoted at the municipal, county, and township levels. In the first eight months, 118,000 various types of charging piles were installed. Additionally, the Heifei International NEV Exhibition was held, with 95 brands showcasing their full range of NEV models. The exhibition had over 1,000 vehicles on display and attracted a total of 535,000 visitors. The number of vehicles sold during the exhibition reached 18,037, with sales exceeding 3.17 billion yuan. 
During the 2023 World Manufacturing Convention, the NEV Industry Innovation and Development Conference and the Roundtable Meeting of the Anhui Province NEV Industry Cluster Construction Strategic Advisory Committee were successfully held. These events further enhanced the influence and visibility of Anhui's automobile industry.
