Anhui's power project commences, targeting 6.6 billion kWh/year upon completion

On the morning of September 25th, the construction of the Huaihe Energy Group Xieqiao Power Plant 2×660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units project officially started. The project is invested and constructed by Huaihe Energy Power Group, with a total dynamic investment of approximately 5.89 billion yuan.

According to reports, the Xieqiao Power Plant 2×660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units project is located in Xieqiao Town, Fuyang City. It relies on the Xieqiao Coal Mine with a capacity of tens of millions of tons, aiming to provide clean and efficient coal-fired power. This project is encouraged by national policies and is an integrated project of coal and power generation at the pithead. It is also a key project that supports Fuyang's construction of the "Three Areas, One Zone, One City" and supports Anhui's efforts to build the Yangtze River Delta's ultra-high-voltage power hub.

The project is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of September 2025. Once completed, it will provide an annual power supply of 6.6 billion kilowatt-hours, with a production value of 3 billion yuan, making it of significant importance in ensuring power supply in Anhui Province and promoting the socio-economic development of the northwest region of Anhui Province.
