14 motions, 377 suggestions submitted by NPC Anhui delegation and deputies

The Anhui delegation of the first session of the 14th National People's Congress(NPC) held a press conference on March 12th. The spokesperson for the delegation announced that during the conference, the Anhui delegation and its deputies submitted a total of 14 motions to the NPC session, all of which were listed for legislative processing. They also proposed 377 suggestions, of which the delegation proposed 13.

These motions and suggestions focused on serving significant national strategies, major issues regarding the long-term development of Anhui Province, and the most-concerned public issues and obstacles. They are characterized by unequivocal reasons, sufficient evidence, specific plans, broad scope, and well-targeted solutions. This is particularly true with the 13 suggestions put forward by the delegation. Marked by both necessity and feasibility, they all firmly stick to the primary task of high-quality development and aim to improve the overall condition of people's livelihood and increase the sustainability of innovation based on both the interest of the entire country and the reality of Anhui.

The Anhui delegation attached great importance to the motions and suggestions. Before this year's NPC annual session, the delegation organized deputies to participate in group investigations and widely solicit opinions. During the Two Sessions, the motions and suggestions were further refined according to the deputies' experience of deliberating reports and motions to improve their quality. They were highly valued by national ministries and commissions, which discussed them with the delegation face-to-face and responded actively.
